Default free delivery or charge for postage

hey all, hopefully my last question for the day

am toying with the idea of making all my computer games and dvd listings free postage, i do have to ask thou which people prefer, pay slightly less for the item and add on postage or pay a little more and get postage included?

Depends on if your aim is single sales or multi sales

You will get many different views for and against Free Postage. The facts are simple, what works for one person may not work for another so the only way for you to know which is best is to try both and see what difference they make to your sales.
My posts only state my own opinions, unless I've stolen them from someone else

Absolutely!! On another site I used to have free postage items only, then I changed to charging reasonable postage, an dit made no real difference ot my sales. I would guess it's similar on eBid too.

I can only speak (type?) for myself but it makes no difference if a listing offers 'Free Delivery' or not. I know that no such thing exists and if it is declared then the price has been loaded to cover it. So I always look at the total cost, price + postage, to determine if I am interested in buying.

I agree, most buyers will figure out that the postage cost is in there somewhere.

Me too, I don't care what the split is, just the total price.
