In firefox you might have to do it via the top toolbar (file edit history etc).Highlight the smiley,click edit then copy.Go to where you want to paste to then click edit again then paste.

Paid my bit to list for free for lifetime.

Wouldnt be paying a penny more for for listing.

I would however be quite willing to pay a higher fvf for sales if it boiled down to it.

I agree also,
There are many sellers on here with over a thousand auctions running,
to have a listing fee, could be deadly to their business.

Where as an extra 1% added to the FVF could promote ebid in the tabloids,
without to mutch consequence to one's business.

Guess I'm in the minority here because I would be willing to pay a little to help promote the site. I disagree that T.V. and radio ads don't work because I've been steered to many websites through ads that I've heard on the radio. Many have been very helpful to me and I've subscribed to some of their services.

I have a friend who is an ecomonics professor in Texas and two of her biggest criteria for improving business is to go above and beyond on customer service and Advertise, advertise, advertise.

The "bay", by the way, has advertised on television-at least here in the U.S. I've personally seen some of their ads on television.(not recently though but within the last 3 years).

Word of mouth works well but takes time. Speaking of word of mouth, it would help a lot if people didn't bash the site in the forums. Post after post of "no sales" and "bad sellers" doesn't help. I think there were four of those alone yesterday. It has to be a "turn off" to prospective customers and sellers.

I know, mine is not a popular view but, I'm just "throwing out there". Hope it doesn't come back to bite me in the you-know-where!

I partly agree Ron,
I have 10,000+ listings, even at 1p per listing (without reposting them) it would cost me £100 a go, simply not viable, it would be bye bye eBid from me if listing fees were introduced.
Raising the fvf by 1% would not effect me that much
