Pls add facility to include extras on invoices

At the moment we can only discount invoices, not add extras. There are lots of perfectly legitimate reasons why a seller might need to add an extra to an invoice. In my own case, for example, I offer an authoring service on About Me templates. I'm sure lots of people offer embellishments on crafted goods, such as personalisation or extra trims. The only way to achieve this at present is by negative discount - naturally this looks pretty odd and can confuse/worry customers.

Please add an "extras" box alongside the "discount" one. Or make the existing box work as an adjustment, plus or minus - though this would involve reversing the way the box works at present and might confuse some sellers. I don't mind which way it works, I'd just like the facility without frightening my customers. Thanks.

I agree it would be useful. I've had a few buyers ask if items are sent in jewellery boxes because they're buying as a gift. I usually throw in a box for free if the buyer pays the difference in postage cost between large letter and package. I've also had a buyer place an order for a small amount of charms and then ask for them to be sent Special Delivery because she needed them the next day to meet a publishing deadline.

There's the possibility of abuse with just about everything but with the low fvfs here you'd have to be pretty sad to abuse it. For Kimbo's example of buyers wanting extra personalisation, a Seller+ could bypass the fvfs by adding a 'free' listing for the customer but giving buyers extra hassle isn't good service.

Any system is *open* to abuse, but that's no reason to not supply it. The reality is, sometimes one has to add extras and listing them separately is a pain for the seller, a major confusion for the buyer, and gains nothing for ebid since nobody in their right mind will list extras or special orders as anything other than free listings. I'd hate to see yet another situation where the innocent were punished in a feeble attempt to dissuade the crooks. The crooks will just make the whole darn sale off-site!
