I am in the same situation (yay recession) I dont get household bills in my name. However, I have my passport, I have letters from the University and the student loans company, bank statements, etc.. And if nothing else, my last bank statement is usually sufficient proof. In your situation, I would offer anything even semi-official that you have with your name and address on. Give them a list of whatever you DO have, and let them choose.

Years ago, I wanted something which needed a bill or something with my name on, as proof of ID, to see alongside my passport, before I had University, bank accounts and whatnot, (yes I was legal age; 20) and they said a bill with Mums name on (same surname) wasnt acceptable.

However, I am a renter and my landlord pays all my utilities as part of our rental agreement.

I do however, pay Comcast for cable and broadband at my home. So i uploaded my driver's license PLUS my current Comcast bill, which both have my home address on them. Will that be sufficient?

You are brand new and your first item for sale is an expensive item which has triggered off the eBid verification process. Once your details have been verified and proven you are who you say you are, you'll be able to proceed with the sale. Any other items you sell afterwards will not need to go through the verification process again.

Hi guys


I am having the same situation at the moment i dont have any utility bills, and my drivers liscence is in my old name as i recently changed my surname im trying to buy 52 cards and my account locked on the 20th purchase im stuck as to when my account will re open i have emailed them with the problem but iv heard nothing from them yet dont want the guy who i am buying them from to get mad as i havent finished the order, any suggestions?

I have just been asked for same info as a new user (over 7000 positive feedbacks on eBay), without indicating what we are going to list. I believe it is a random check. PAIN !!! because you cannot use eBid until they tell you it is OK.
