Canada Post Shipping Calculator "Canada Post Expedited Parcel to = Not Available

I'm listing an item (Auction ID : 41205322) that ships in a box 56 X 36 X 12 cm and weighs 2.5 KG when packaged.

The listing enters OK but when I view the item it says:

Canada Post Expedited Parcel to t0g2a3 = Not Available
2 kg 500 gr package. C$1.00 handling fee included.
Canada Post Xpresspost to t0g2a3 = Not Available
2 kg 500 gr package. C$1.00 handling fee included.

If I change the dimendions to 20 X 20 X 12 and 4.5KG i get
Canada Post Expedited Parcel to t0g2a3 = C$12.26
4 kg 500 gr package. C$1.00 handling fee included.

Why can't I enter the proper dimensions?

When I go to Canada post site the dimensions (56 X 36 X 12 cm and weighs 2.5 KG ) are accepted there.

Good question. Unfortunately, I'm clueless, as I've never listed items using Canada Post, being in the U.S.. Bumping up for expert advice.

The shipping calculator for Canada is new, only introduced a couple of days ago. So most likely a bug. I would report it to eBid support.

I looked at the dimensions and it meet min and max dimensions. Plus it works on the Canada Post site.

Many canadians sellers have come over from ebay paid for the seller plus and have found that the canadapost shipping calculator does not work properly and sometimes not at all. Can anyone help with this issue, other canadian sellers how are you dealing with this????

Please i really need help with this issue.

I don't think it's the size of the parcel as I tried changing that over the weekend. maybe it's the weight or metric conversions.

Listed an item today eBid item # 41493601. PArcel would be 18 X 18 X 18 cm an 250 grams shipping from T0G 2A3 in Alberta, Canada.

eBid shows Canada Post shipping to my postal code T0G 2A3 as:
$37.68 for Canada Post Regular Parcel
eBid won't let me check USA shipping
eBid says international shipping is Not advailable

Canada Post (canadapost.ca) shows:
$9.50 for Canada Post Regular Parcel
$5.85 for Canada Post Small Pakage Surface USA
$19.16 for Canada Post Expedited USA
$9.35 Canada Post Small Pakage Air International.

I can't figure out where eBid is getting thier numbers from.

I wonder if it is a metric to imperial conversion issue as someone posted already.

1 kg is 2.2 lbs and 1 lb = 0.45 kg

1 inch is 2.54 cm and 1 cm = 0.39 inches

If the units passed to Canada Post is switched from kg to lbs, the item becomes very light. If the dimensions are switched from inches to cm, they become very large and could go over maximum or make a huge parcel with large rate. So you can see that depending on which unit is used by an eBid, the result can be multiplied a lot or reduced a lot.

The actual numbers passed from eBid to Canada Post are correct most likely, the designated units may be the problem. If so, a simple fix to correct the problem.

I occasionally see this error on eBay to PayPal shipping transfer of shipping dimensions and weight. It comes up as mixed units with dimensions in inches and weight in kg. PayPal flags this error for fixing.
