Thread: lifetime upgrade

I think it might be best to cancel all of this and look at other places?

No body seems to know about upgrades and deadlines etc.

You have a had a few helpful replies.

Just because the upgrades features are slightly tricky, that is no reason to give up on ebid.

But some people like to moan all the time.

Other places don't have upgrade registrations, either monhtly store fees or free (with few sales)

Snap2 isn't the only one to have problems with the convoluted fee system.

Snap2, perhaps get in touch with Support and explain your problem. They can probably help and prevent us losing yet another potential seller.

    Good luck.

In a nutshell, all you have to do is take out a short term membership and then "upgrade" to lfetime within 24 hours ? I still have not joined as a lifetimer, but will upgrade soon. I understand this is the way to do it ?

Yes, this is the way to do it, but the guy is having problems.
He only joined in March. Allow him a little slack, folks.

I think asking in the wrong forum might have been part of the reason for the abrupt reply!
The 'abrupt' reply (if that was how it was viewed) was because:

    a. No question was asked, the poster was just complaining.
    b. They were sulking and threatening to take their toys to play elsewhere.
    c. As the original advice had not been heeded, I didn't see why I should repeat it just for it to be ignored again.
    d. The original advice was still there to be read - the 'computer error' made no difference to that.

Snap2 isn't the only one to have problems with the convoluted fee system.
I have always strongly suspected (but could well be wrong) that the the offer was only intended to be for the 24 hours from initial sign-up, but due to the way the upgrade system works it was also offered on upgrades; eBid choosing to live with this situation rather than try to fix it.

Didn't mean to click on 'reply with quote' Bohemian. That wasn't meant as a criticism of your reply - sorry if it came across that way.

Yes, that is the way to upgrade.
