I run my own web sute and have done so for about twelve years.
This past few weeks have been the quietest I've ever known in terms of views and sales.Has anyone else noticed the same? Is this the recession really biting hard or are there other reasons?

I found sales dropped around the time of the Japanese earthquake. I don't know if that had anything to do with it with people donating money to help instead of spending it ? It's the school holidays now too so lots of people will have gone off on their travels. Lets hope it picks up again after Easter.

I have seen lots of people on many forums reporting poor sales lately.

But then others report good sales.

I think petrol prices are hurting everyone.
You have to buy petrol, so something else has to give.

Things are better with me.But i only sell a few books a week and i'm happy with that as its just a way of getting rid of books i have read so i can make a little to buy more books to read.

I too have noticed a drop in sales from my web store, however sales are picking up on eBid.

Very Quiet everywhere. I have done about 5 boot sales recently and ALL have been very Poor. Its the worst its been since 1921 According to the Experts!

Yes, It's the worst I've ever known it on eBid in four and a half years. AAL is down to 63 sales from something like 160.

I've not been selling long, but this was clearly my worst weekend in a while, with only a single sale across all my stores. Will be very interested to see how the rest of the month pans out.

On the plus side I've had plenty of time to polish up my eBid listings
