Paint Shop Pro has an easy to use color replacer tool. I am too cheap to buy "the gold standard" program, Photoshop but I'll BET it has one too. As Jan said, make separate layers for each color you want to change from black or white to a color.

OR you could ask them to print their brochures or whatever on several different colors of paper. Presto! colored logos.

This whole exercise sounds like a major learning opportunity for you, Fossy. Would you feel like posting an image of this logo that you're working on?

I don't know Gimp, I use Photoshop where you can easily add layers.

Easiest thing to do is to stick the logo online with a link to it from here, or upload it directly to the forum, and someone can easily change it to a 16 million colour image for you and then bung the new version back into the forum. You can then save the new version to work on at your leisure.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I do have photoshop but have never gone deeper than basic editing and have never played with layers. Something to start learning. Brishada I will email you. Many thanks.
