Our Alexa rating is rissing steadily !

eCrater can be ignored. It is not an auction site at all, but a site where the seller creates a store and the buyer can then search for items and get a list of all the matching items from all the stores.

eCrater never impressed me-- maybe it works for people who have no particular focus, or are selling something EVERYone else is... but if your items are somewhat specialized, their search feature is all but useless. There are better ways to get a free online store... like HERE.

Our Alexa has been rising steadily for the last few months.
I have been watching it for over a year now and last year in the summer (May, June, July and August) our Alexa rating went down, I have no idea what caused this - less computer use in summer, or did ebid hit a bad patch ?

But the key this year will be to keep our momentum and keep it rising.
It is correlated with our rising number of listings.
And our steady rise in new members, which we need to convert into Seller+ Lifetimers.

I must admit I'd thought things were slowing down somewhat, given the very slight Alexa change between 21st and 25th April.
But this last change between 25th and 29th was a pleasant surprise ...
Guess this shows that overall trends are seen more acurately over weeks or even months, rather than just days.

Oh, and thanks for starting this thread Julie, it's interesting to follow these trends.

And for anyone viewing - Why not add the Alexa tool to your 'status bar'?

I haven't been able to track down the Internet Explorer verion.
With Firefox it's a ''Status Bar Add-On". (They also have a "Toolbar" for Alexa - but that's different - I don't use that).

The one that's used for the pictures on this thread (the graphs), are from the Alexa "Status Bar Add-On".

Someone else may be more successful in tracking down an IE8 equivalent - sorry - ( I tried looking ).

We have been following our Alexa rating but I who live in the US haven't even been following the US eBid which is 4,234 Traffic Rank in US. I don't know if that is rising or not. Ebid is at 8,401 Alexa Traffic Rank
