Default I'm fuming! - It's a good job It was free to list!

Someone over there is the biggest wind up merchant in the world!

I listed loads to take advantage of free listing day!
but the moved the finishing post by twelve hours!

Consequently my listings have been finishing through the early hours of the morning instead of the early evening hours.

Now I know I didn't list the items at 'Daft O'Clock' in the morning.

Why offer a free list day and then sabotage your listings?

So annoying! And that can only be the answer too!

Ahhh so that was what happened!
I had some that finished at a silly time but as I am often late to my bed I assumed it was me who was to blame. Out of all my listings I had only 1 purchase which is unusual, I don't get many but this is the lowest I have ever achieved, looks like more folks are keeping their hands in their pockets.

I helped my dad list a couple over there last weekend and i know quite a few mates who took advantage of the free listings too.
None of those have been moved at all. All will finish at the standard logical time.

In the past its taken a while for listings to show up due to heavy usage delay (as you would expect over a free listing weekend). A few years back i once waited 2 days for a listing to show up in searches and at other times it would just be hours. As people were losing listing exposure i believe they agreed to start the clock running from the time the listing actually showed up, so if your listing was delayed due to the volume of people using the site maybe you just got unlucky with the times.

As it was free listing though, can't complain too much, but as you implied a plus for ebid, people might just think twice about using them again especially if they had paid and got the same service. Another plus point for ebid, even if you find yourself unable to sleep and do a spot of listing at 2am, you can set the duration in hours as well as days
Just realised i needed to mod my old signature. No set categories yet, but i'll work on that now i am back and update as able

    Beat me to it.

A few years ago, there was a big thing about sellers paying for 7 days, and only getting 6 1/2 or similar because losing a few hours at the start due to heavy site usage.
They did relent and say that in future that the clock would start running from the time that items showed up.

I'm fuming because they have taken 12 hours away!
They were due to finish this evening!

Sorry this happened, is there any recourse available?

Best wishes for many sales to all,
