Buying - where's the shopping cart?

I just bought something and clicked to go back to the search then decided I'd leave the purchases at one thing till I knew what I was doing.
But then you realise there is no way to know how to pay.
No shopping cart - nothing on the screen at all.
Is there a way to produce something like this? I like to pay as I buy for single purchases and not leave things till an invoice. I nearly clicked out of the site all together.
I'm now waiting for an email to come through, but am I missing something? Is there somewhere on screen to go so you can checkout without the email?

Each listing shows the type of payment that the seller accepts. If you purchase more than one item, they can send you a combined invoice, sometimes discounting postage costs a bit (tho not always). Hope that helps. This is not ebay, and there is not a shopping cart.......you can buy, or bid, depending on the type of listing, and, when you are done, it's always best to contact the seller via the after auction log and request a combined invoice before paying. This makes sure the seller is aware of your purchase, and is active online before you send off your money.

Take a look at the listing again. As Her Majesty said it will show what "payment methods" are accepted by that seller. If shipping is the question, then I'd suggest waiting for your invoice from this seller. If it's not, you might do what I almost always do (as I, too, like to pay quickly)...go ahead and pay the total.

I pay quickly if the seller is active (look at their recent feedback to see how recently they have bought/sold something). If in doubt, I do ask a question or request an invoice first, just to be sure the person is around. It's a pain if you pay, then never hear from the seller..........................

it all depends on how the seller set things up in their listings.
Perhaps they have omitted some options.
Most other sales go through with no problems.
Shopping carts do not really work on auction sites as there can be multiple sellers.

I certainly would NOT pay right away before I receive an invoice if I'm purchasing from an unknown seller. In fact, I always ask seller a question just to find out if they are active or not. Lots of newbies have gotten stuck purchasing/paying before finding out if seller is still active on eBid. Then they come on the forums complaining they have not received their items in the mail and seller is not communicating.

Thanks for the answers I just found it rather confusing when I couldn't find anything related to the purchase at all. I have since discovered that there is a section under buying (the dropdown menu) that would have given me what I wanted - sigh - I think I'm getting shortsighted in my old age :-(

When a sale has been made, eBid automatically send an invoice to the buyer, which I don't like and many of us are trying to stop this.
