I can't understand the paranoia of some people not wanting to produce some simple documents.

Do they think that ebid is going to rip them off after being in business for 10 years ?

Hi bruik, welcome to eBid and the Forum. I really understand how you feel because I was asked to verify too as I had listed some really expensive items just after I joined. I uploaded the stuff and was up & running quick and I am so glad to be here it isn't true. I have long since got my fees back.
We are only asked for verification if it is felt necessary and to protect everyone - it is valid, it's a big help to stopping naughty folk coming here although now & again one or two slip the net.
eBid looks after us here as best it can. Far better than elsewhere.
BTW, I have a friend right now who joined months ago, felt he had made a mistake & wrote to close his account, now regrets it and is in the process of being reviewed in the hopes he can come back. Believe me, eBid are real people who care - not robots/machines or anything else.
You have paid your fee - hang on to your hat - you won't regret it I am sure.
    I hope this helps.

Treat this as a welcome security check knowing you and every member are pretty safe on this site.
Agree with Jan, it seems eBid requires verification from new members selling high ticket items for the protection of all members. If it were me, I'd provide the documentation and proceed with my sales, but of course it's up to you.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I have had MORE problems with ebid than any other web selling site. FINALLY I got to list some items THEN after providing a credit card, Paypal information it asked for MORE verification.....SO I uploaded the requested item and STILL am not able to log on. WHAT a waste for $50. If I could get my money back I would happily return to blujay and ebay........................

In the past we have dad a few scammers who have been thrown off another well known site and managed to scam a few people on here, the management had no choice but to bring in these measures.
