    There are no charges for viewed items, picture or no picture.
    You have listed all of your auctions as gallery auction style and not free style so you will incur a 2% FVF when your items sell.
    So if it is an item selling at £500 then you will be charged £10 (2%) FVF

    You receive 5 free images per listing and the 1st chosen image will show on your auction listing but not on the search list if
    you choose Free auction style listing.

    A Free listing does not have the thumbnail showing on the search list.
    I think if the fee was renamed 'final gallery fee' that is would solve a lot of confusion. The charging system could stay the same but they would not be saying 'no final value fees' and then when the item sells bill them for a final value fee. It seems strange to me and I have been here a while so why would it seem right to someone coming from another auction site where they seem to be taken advantage of and the rules keep changing as this appears one way and they find out it is another.

    I know it says on the listing page when gallery option is chosen there will be a fvf if the item sells but on the home page it says 'zero final value fees' so it seems to me it would take away the ill feeling that is caused if only the name was changed.

    I must admit that the ebay membership system is confusing to some newbies.
    But they have designed it and that is what we have to work with.
    There is a lot to learn when you join any new site.

    @Ropegg
    That is quite a good idea.

    Also ebid could say in their help files that on ebid you can list for free, but if you want to use a gallery pic in your listings there is a final value fee of only 2%.

    @Futurespast
    Glad you are all happy now.
    And best of luck fro more sales.

    Sorry I disagree with the green bit I highlighted. Reasons are
    Gallery is a FVF gaining auction
    Platinum is a FVF gaining auction
    Standard is a FVF gaining auction

    On the review and submit page that you get when listing an item it clearly states any listing fee and / or any FVF that will be due if the items sell or are listed.

    Likewise a simple look at the easy to find fee chart makes it clear also

    To be fair to the OP, Ebid and most members do promote Ebid as a "Free" auction site (see signiture), and to be honest, I didn't think there would be a 2% FVF after every sale when I signed up.

    However, because 2% is such a low amount compared to you know where,,, most people including me, accept it without complaining.

    Cant see what is confusing about it.

    2% Final value fee - charged if your item sells.

    It aint exactly rocket science

    I find it stranger that some will just go ahead and list a load of stuff without checking everything first of all, or didnt notice there is a 2% fvf if gallery image is used, and if they did notice it, but didnt understand exactly what it was, why not ask support first?

    No point in closing the gate once the horse bolted.

    Selling on eBid as a SELLER is great value. Lower fees mean much larger profit margins on all your sales. Don't forget you can also upgrade to SELLER+ for a single one payment of £49.49 for a lifetime of Zero Listing Fees and Zero Final Value Fees.
