Mulit-purchase discount not working

just sent a customer an invoice with a discounted p&p for multi-purchase but it still invoiced for the full amount.
This is the second or third time this has happened on random sales, after putting in the discount there is no confirmation screen, all you can do is send invoice but then if it is wrong it is too late.
There needs to be an update button so the seller is sure of the invoice amount before sending

I know very well where to look
After putting in the shipping discount ( as highlighted above, the (invoice total) stayed the same full amount, even if I refreshed the page.
If you read my initial post you will see that what I put was, it happens with (Random sales), not all

An update button would be nice. Maybe this is something to suggest to support.

Yes an update button is needed, this has been suggested in other posts quite a while ago, but nothing has been done

Its really just as I first posted, after amending the p&p the total does not always change on the invoice page, the only option on the page is to send the invoice and after changing the p&p nothing seems to happen as there is no update button and you don't know if it has amended the total or not (probably not as the full amount is still on the invoice), on my most recent sale the customer told me the invoice was for the full amount so I had to invoice them direct from Paypal.
I can't remember what happened when it did work, I think the total just changed
What would be useful is an Amend button to preview the invoice after editing and before sending it.
I am using the same pc each time so its not any of my settings
