Hope your right because it has happened again tonight, starting to get really annoying.
If it is updates you would think the guys in charge would let us know.
Me still thinks the server can't handle the number of people coming over from that other site.
Working on the times it looks like it occurs at peak times UK then it happened again about home time USA.

Some downtime has been experienced this evening. This was due to a faulty power distribution unit that was powering a number of our servers.

We are back up now and are investigating the faulty hardware.
