I have never seen it myself as I have never been 'banned' (I'm a good boy I am), but I understood it appeared on the main site when a user went to log in. Could the OP (or someone else) confirm that before Gazza possibly heads off in the wrong direction?

While we are talking about being unfriendly, my invoice, issued yesterday, is marked "overdue". It is supposed to be paid automatically, but if that isn't going to work, I think I should be allowed a day or two to pay it!

Agree Madelaine. This was supposed to have been fixed a couple of months back. How the heck can somehting be "overdue" when we literally just GET it?

I think there are a few niggly little glitches at the moment, possiblly to do with the last lot of updates, I don't really know not being a programmer.

Hi

We first saw the message while trying to change from one thread to another on the forums.

At the time we were still logged into the main eBid website and we could access everything except the forums, although nothing worked i.e. we could not edit, delete, repost or list anything to sell etc.

When we logged out of the main eBid website we could not login in again until we had followed the given link and entered our email address again and of course verified this was correct from an email sent to this address.

To be be honest I can't remember exactly what the homepage message said ......
(I was by this time fuming from the being banned message to take much notice) Sorry :-(

Again, I think the tone of the message causes a lot of upset. It has been repeatedly pointed out that it is abrupt to the point of rudeness, It seriously needs rewording - Banned and Never need to go.

Suggestion:

A hold has been placed on your eBid account for the following reason: We are having problems contacting you via your registered email address.
Please login to the main eBid site to resolve this issue and to remove the hold.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Date the hold will be removed: On resolution of the above issue.

If you can let us know exactly where you see the words Banned and Never on the eBid site and we will get them fixed, I'm not aware of these appearing anywhere on the site.

Gazza, as you will see in the above quote you are asking the OP where they see the words Banned and Never on the eBid site..this is not the case. They are referring to the wording in the actual email they received. That's the way I'm understanding it anyway.

I wasn't bad, or rather really, really bad. I just accidentally hit the junk button instead of delete when I read an email in my hotmail. I blame hotmail cos it's right next to the delete button and if the mouse is being a bit jumpy, it's easy done! Or at least that's my excuse.

But it does cause eBid problems and I did apologise - all was quickly restored and I felt no pain at all.

The same has happened to me & even though I immediately went in and marked it as not junk I still had to contact support to lift the BAN.
