Anne McCaffrey 1926 - 2011 RIP

Multiple award-winning science fiction and fantasy author Anne McCaffrey passed away Monday. She was 85.

I've always loved her books, especially the "Pern" ones, she was a very prolific writer, she also helped young authors get a foot on the ladder by co-writing with them.
Elizabeth Moon, & Jody Lynne Nye come to mind.


They are supposed to be making a film of the "Dragon Riders of Pern",
I really hope it does her proud.

Loved the Dragons of Pern novels - my introduction to fantasy/science fiction. But the one title I read and re-read is "The Ship Who Sang" - unpacked it yesterday, so tonight's reading sorted.

Like a few of her books but not my style.
