    Default A cautionary tale

This is NOT a paypal bashing thread - I use and appreciate paypal, and so do my customers. However, having read this particular blog post I felt I would share it with you in case anybody's thinking of using it to accept payment on similar sorts of items... just be aware, and make an informed choice.

Yikes, that's just awful! I use PP, as it's popular with buyers, but will definitely keep my eyes open.

That poor seller, what a dreadful and likely irreplaceable loss...

Happy New Year and many sales to all,

I've got a violin here it was given to my dad in about 1934 by the chap at the local newsagents, he didn't ever use it, although my cousin did, so it has no sentimental value. I've often wondered about selling it, but have no idea about the value, or even where to go to get a fair valuation.

After seeing this, I don't think I'd risk selling it online.

I can't believe anyone would be prepared to destroy such a beautiful object - it is criminal!

    Quite agree - it's a disgrace.

It's a pity that the Violin owner didn't have a local Paypal office to smash up!

Oh! On second thoughts that would be criminal, I think.

Next week we will no doubt hear a complaint of PayPal ordering a buyer to return fake goods back to the seller so they can resale them.

As usual they get blamed whatever they do.

Sellers will never admit to items being fake and the fact they forgot to mention in the original post that the item had been authenticated makes me wonder if they also forget to mention this to PayPal
My posts only state my own opinions, unless I've stolen them from someone else
