The body tag for the whole listing page, is, & should be, set by eBid,
the auction description is just one part of that page, set within its own div tags.
While I concur that it doesn't need body tags, and certainly shouldn't have any with values set, I disagree that an empty body tag can be causing the problem. With no values being set, nothing's being over-written, so it can't be breaking the layout. *Something* certainly is, but the body tag seems an innocent bystander to me.

I think the user's notice may be be screwed. Try turning those off and see if it goes back to a normal display.

Sorry, I know I'm chatting away to myself rather here... but update to say I've just had a quick look, and I think the OP has tried to put a domain link (maybe to Royal Mail charges) in their notice, and that's caused the SNAFU. Get rid of the dodgy link and it should all display properly.

Sorry, I don't really know what you're getting at, so frivol seemed like the best option.

You're obviously more awake than I was when I posted
My excuse I'd been up for 25 hours.
I only had a quick squiz at the auction description part of the page, I forgot you can mess with things from notices as well now.
Good job somebody is awake around here.
    Kimbo to the rescue.
