LOL! Wow, that's really commendable, congrats. You must be in a lot better shape than I am - my idea of race is a trip down the stairs and back up again without tripping on any kitties.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Well done for being brave and signing up. I probably end up just thinking about it

I doubt it...that is why I have booked the limp and hobble rather than the race....lol
My sister and I did The Memory Walk for the Alzheimer s Society last year in September. That was 3km and I was totally zonked for a fortnight afterwards

3K is 3K more than I walk on an average day. I'll never forget when I visited London in 2000, (and I was younger and 20 pounds thinner), and I walked around so much I wound up with a severe limp - had an old lady offer me the use of her cane, that's when I knew I'd hit rock bottom.

Good luck and best wishes for many sales to all,

I plan to ease into training next month and then seriously get into it in the spring.

I need to lose at least a couple of stone and walk at least 2km most days in the run up to the race. I booked early to keep me focused.

I am planning to do the 5km next year and will be looking out for local sponsored walks around the year.

I want to get fit anyway so I might as well do some charity stuff while I am at it.

That is seriously inspiring, wish I could get motivated. Maybe when I move out of here in a few months' time and back to the country; I certainly wouldn't mind taking walks out there, it's around here I'm not too keen on.

Best wishes for many sales to all,
