Try a roll back , "system restore point" in windows, it fixed my last issue i had.

Within the Start menu, click All Programs.


Go to Accessories, System Tools, System Restore.and select a date when it was working fine

Thanks Jimbo, the system restore to 1/28 seems to have worked, no .exe pop ups so far, knock wood. Question: what happens when tomorrow comes, will the pop ups come back? What if I update my AVG and Malware Bytes, will this matter/cause the pop ups to return?

Sorry for all the stupid questions, I just don't understand much when it comes to puters.
