Post Office systems down!!!!!

Hi, Got two orders to post off today and just been to Post Office and their systems are down and have been for a few hours, no idea when or if they will be back up and running today!!!
Counter assistant said it was ALL post Offices, so assume she meant throughout the UK, although it may have meant just here in Norwich, but, even if I had pre-stamped the parcels they wouldnt have been able to accept them, they are just sitting behind the counter advising people that there is nothing they do to assist at present!
Thought I would just pre-warn you in case it is all over the country, and to perhaps ring first to make sure you will get your goods sent off ok.
I will be calling them up in an hour or so to see if they are up and running again................very frustrating!!!!

Put a post on about this earlier Linda. I gave a phone number to ring for updates. And, yes it is nationwide.

What a pain it is. Just wasted a gallon of petrol!

what category did you put the phone number under? before I posted my thread i checked through the postage and delivery threads but couldnt see anything resembling anything about this................yes agree, it is a pain, not only cost me petrol but also car parking, just to get to the post office and to be told they cant help me!!! Not a happy bunny

Hi, I posted a parcel at 2.30pm today in a very small post office, had no probs at all. maybe it was up and running by then.

Posted in Watton in norfolk just after 4pm no problems.
Cant understand post office not taking stamped mail as the system being down wont stop the collections from post Offices.
