I wondered what had happened. I had posted on the thread and could see nothing wrong.

Well, the first reason is because it is their site and they set the rules. Secondly, because threads can often change very quickly and the thread starter doesn't always see what it is that breaks the rules. eBid staff are not in the habit of explaining each and every decision they make - in fact, it is very rare indeed to find out why some threads vanish and others don't. Those who have been here for some time just get used to it; there's no point fighting against it.

It does amuse me, though, when people who have been here for all of five minutes start telling eBid "what it needs" or what its failures are. Suggestions are one thing, but stating an opinion as though it was a 100% correct fact is something else. I think if I were an eBid staff member I would get heartily sick of Johnny-come-latelys telling me what I should or should not be doing, and I might be tempted to delete a thread or two as well. Of course, that's just me - and I'm not staff.

I didnt see what was written either but would feel certain that Damien and KIm are pretty spot on with it.

And I dont think ebid managment would have any real trouble with constructive, helpful threads either
