Reaper Man, Mort, Soul Music and Guards Guards are my faves, tho I do like Interesting Times, Witches Abroad and Sourcery a lot
The only one I'm not so keen on is 'Hogfather', but I'm with Iansf on 'Night Watch' being the best

Just finished "Lords and Ladies", will be reading "Men at Arms" over Christmas.
"Night Watch" is the only one I haven't got yet, but i've plenty of time to get it.
I suppose I should have engineered it to be reading "Hogfather" over Christmas.
Don't think I can choose a favourite, there are so many brilliant ones. I thought "Witches Abroad" was hilarious. The only one I haven't been keen on so far is "Eric".
Haven't really got the hang of this new forum yet. Can't do quotes very well and haven't a clue how you put in the smilies anymore.
Iain Banks is good (with or without the 'm' in the middle) Love the culture books but then I'm just a sucker for alternative universes. That's probably why I like Larry Niven too (Ringworld series) and also the fact that most of his novels are soooo huge!!!
Oh, forgot Kurt Vonnegut, especially 'Galapagos' and 'Slaughterhouse 5' of course. ... And, have to mention Philip K. Dick although 'Bladerunner' and 'Total Recall' or probably more accessible than the original writing.
I really liked the 'past' Julian May books but kinda ran out of puff with the 'future' ones. Maybe trying those again will be my new year's resolution?
