So no they never paid for the advertising of it but it got advertised so they got lucky

I have often said that ebid should organsie some charity auctions of good stuff going to charity and get it on breakfast tv etc.

That is called Marketing.

And there were the Olympic torches that were going for £100,000+, only they did'nt. they were fake bids. But it does get publicity, chances are a few of the papers will pick up on it as well.

Adam and his show will no doubt be keeping an eye on it, think it will be a part of the show ( IMO I think they are bidding secretly on it as well), the show is on nightly during the paralympics,

Adam Hills is heavily involved in charity fund raising. I've been in a show where he was recruiting help with it from the audience!

In truth, I think it is luck when something like that comes off.

Of course it would be great if eBid were to acheive something similar, but, right now, I expect they are fully engaged in the business of tempting D******* sellers away.
