I will never never ever ever forget. I remember it like it was yesterday.
I was living in the UK and busy doing some computer stuff when my friend phoned me: "Jan! turn on your TV quick! BBC1" so I did.
What I saw made my mouth drop to the ground, my heart almost stopped, my lungs went all tight, my breathing got difficult, and I fell to the floor, my eyes fixed to the TV. I couldn't look away at the horror I was watching, live, in front of me. I switched on as the second plane hit. It wasn't quite sinking in that this was REAL but eventually it did and I realized I was crying. Crying for America, crying for the victims, crying for peace, crying at the horror of it all.
I remember very well.
Let us also not forget the heros of Flight 93, who kept the Capitol Building from suffering the same fate as the Twin Towers and the Pentagon.
Please pardon my eyesight. I did not see the Flight 93 on the right side until just now as I was once more viewing the images of this thread. The graphics card of my laptop is pretty=much on its last leg and, resultantly, I have a split screen showing the same web page. Needless to say, it is hard reading the much-smaller print of a page that is half of its usual size. Again, my apologies to all.

It's hard to believe that 11 years have gone by.
Those terrible pictures remain strong in my mind, as does the sadness for those lost & affected by the tragedy.
R.I.P. to the victims.
I've just watched it on TV and I remember it vividly too. Leaving work at 5.30pm. Met OH in the pub for a drink and meal. We both sat there, saying nothing to each other, just staring at the TV. Believe me, I've never known an English pub so quiet as it was that night.
Memories stay with you for life.
My thoughts are with everyone involved.
