My last two were Toms, brothers, lost one years before the other but the pair of them were gorgeous cats, each in his own way and neither of them were vicious. The one who went missing was a very sweet natured, gentle, elegant black cat, quite dainty and elegant for a Tom. His brother was a huge tabby that had very thick hair, loved his food, thought he was a dog and was highly intelliegent, I taught him tricks too! He was a real home 'bird', unlike his brother but not quite so affectionate, he didnt like do overdo the cuddles, too cool lol

Vets make it look easy? Our first cat used to do a wall of death round the vet's surgery.

I don't think Toms are any more difficult than she-cats. The first cat was called the Furry Shark by one member of our family and she was a dear little (really little) girl!

Very true, they can all be scary, depending on circumstances, my sister was checking on our old normally very docile and friendly cat in the recovery cage after surgery and she tried to go for her :-(

I think the only differance is if alergic to cats, as male cats tend to have more dander than females.

The most vicious cat I ever had was a female. I got her in Greece, looked out of my window one day to see some kids with a piece of rope tied around a kittens paw trying to 'take her for a walk' I went down and had a little chat with them and ended up adopting her, she was a street cat anyhow. She was quite wild still in one way but good with me after I trained her though she'd still attack other people quite often.
I used to walk around Athens with her on my shoulder to give her a walk, I kid you not, she came into shops with me, the pub my husband ran (when it was quiet I went in with her sometimes) other people thought I was that crazy Englishwoman but me and my cat (Tiger, pronounced Teeger) thought it was fine and normal. they were the strange ones!
she would only drink water from a running tap.

Having been owned by a few cats in my time, I can honestly say I've never met a vicious one. High spirited, yes, and aloof (or perhaps full of themselves) some, but never mean spirited, except towards mice that is...

Personally I've always found male cats to be sweeter tempered, but IMHO all cats are good in their own quirky ways.

Best wishes for many sales to all,
