    I also read help pages. Every site is different, so it is good to get acquainted with how things work. (even on ebay)

    It's the me, me , me society we live in. People now expect everything to be done for them, paid for by somebody else, and when things go wrong it is not their fault.

    This is one of the many reasons I have stuck with ebid....the non self centered way that is mostly the way on these forums.

    Had the founding members and other diehards that came afterwards been of the 'me me me' mindset I dread to think what kind of site this would be now.

    Unfortunately a large chunk of the population these days. For example I have just left teaching at a college, and the vast majority of students think they deserve a qualification rather than thinking they should earn one.
