Would would be best though for people and eBid? Option A or Option B
Option A (Wanted within a thread)
Option B (Wanted Tab at top between Sell and Stores)
A seperate Wanted to Buy section on the forum is a good idea.
A seperate Wanted to Buy section on the forum is not a good idea.
Creating a Wanted to Buy thread on the relevant forum is sufficient.
Creating a Wanted to Buy thread on the Kitchen Table forum is sufficient.
I don't care either way.

Don't walk in front of me..I may not follow-don't walk behind me..I may not lead-just walk beside me and be my friend.

75% of 25 is hardly overwhelming!

For who uses the forum, it is the majority count.
Seems to me that the question should be:
Does whatever people are already doing achieve the desired result?
Are those people who have posted WANTEDs getting the required response or are there too few sellers responding (either at all, or just with the chosen goods)?
Then we should probably consider just how many sellers actually spend time in the forums. It has been suggested that as a percentage of the total membership, forum use is quite limited. So will enough sellers see an official, eBid staff run, forum based WANTED section to make the extra work worthwhile? Or should the whole issue remain on an informal basis much as it is now?
From a forum users point of view I would prefer that WANTEDs are placed in their own forum. However, if that happens I feel that most people would not see them and the section would repeat what happened the last time this was tried.
avforums and folk classified sections thrive on WANTED threads and surely any USP compared to the Bay is attractive.
Not sure if this is what you are doing, but many new users here assume that eBid works in the same way as other sites they've been on. Over time they come to realise that it often doesn't. Methods, procedures and habits need to be adapted to eBid; eBid does not get adapted to how people think it should be based on their prior experience.
Whilst enthusiasm is welcome, a calm and considered evaluation of eBid is recommended before people start telling eBid Support how they should run the site.
eBid Support are exceptionally good at listening to the requests and suggestions of eBid users, but they take their time about it and allow a good long period for evaluation of ideas. They have also had a lot longer than most users to see how things work here over time. Some ideas have already been tried and their level of success - or otherwise - is taken into account. Most users understand and accept this. Some users decide they know better and continually demand features that they themselves want to see. eBid Support respond when they feel they need to - if at all.
