    That's not quite what Sky News are reporting.
    Yes, OpCapita, as a secured creditor, will get a payout of around £50 million but that is only about a third of what they are "owed".

    The tax payer is getting stuck with the shortfall in payments to the workers who were laid off.

    Anyone with Comet gift cards is also getting screwed.

    Not quite 2:

    "OpCapita also received a £50m cash dowry from Kesa, now known as Darty, when it acquired Comet in February. It continues to own Comet’s warranties business, which is not in administration."

    They are still making a profit on the warrenties business. So they are about £45 million down but still own a profit making part of Comet.

    I dont see why the tax payer should pay it off, surely with all the goods they have in stock & all that money they pay their Directors & high paid earners they should be paying it off, how about asking clegg & cameroon for the money they get more than the average worker

    I was in Staples today theyre closing down,not sure if its just our store or if the company is going into administration too.
