    Default Rapid delivery service

How about Ebid teaming-up with Shutl to offer rapid delivery of items for UK customers ?.
That would put the wind up feebay.

For those who have not heard of Shutl, they provide 'same day' and 'within a chosen hour next day' delivery services & their clients include 'Argos' and 'Maplin' (amongst others).
They operate 24/265, so would give use sellers a superior service advantage over the dark side for around the same postage as the regular parcel services.

Because it isn't eBid selling the items.
Other sites can offer the service because they have all the goods in their own warehouse, not spread out over hundreds of thousands of locations.

What a coincidence. I was blown away yesterday, after asking a postal worker (USPS) to borrow a pen. They pulled out a pen with the USPS logo and the Bay logos. The pen showed a powerful partnership between the two entities. First thing that came to my mind was eBid instead of the Bay on that pen. The pen sent a powerful message.

Wonder if eBid could approach Shutl or other carrier concerning a strategic partnership. eBid does ship Buddy point products from their own warehouse(s). Also, maybe if eBid members would agree to use a "preferred carrier", the company might consider such a partnership.

Shutl use a network of local carrier services ranging from 1-man operations to large fleet operators. Hence why they can offer a rapid response service.
According to their site, the fastest delivery from store to door is just 14:34 minutes.
So, unlike Yodel or DHL, the parcel will be picked-up when YOU want, not 'sometime tomorrow'. We should really get together on this.

I sometimes use Parcel2Go, and when filling in all the information you get the option of putting in our eBay ID. If eBid could get onto sites like this, either with some kind of partnership or simply by getting hold of them and seeing if it can be added it would give great publicity to people who regularly send parcels, who are frequently online sellers.

    Ooops. Meant 24/365, not 24/265.

No, I have no connection with them at all. I only came across them when reserving a popcorn maker on Argos (for the wife, not me) & they offered delivery within 90 minutes via Shutl.

When trying to entice new buyers to a small(ish) site such as Ebid, anything that gives us an edge as sellers is a good thing.
