listing on eBay and eBid at the same time ?

Yup, I have also nagged on about the same thing. I have the same items for sale both here, on my own site and on ebay. They are all cheaper here than ebay. I want people to buy from me here so I am cheaper here. I just don't understand what is going through the mind of the seller who inflates their ebid price over the ebay price. Unless they want to drive sales onto ebay and pay more fees......doh!

Nothing wrong with selling on Ebay and Ebid, Ebay is useful to the continued growth of Ebid....for example, when you list on Ebid...list at the price that you need to sell at, when you list on Ebay do the same ...of course, but you do need to factor in the higher fee structure, this will be to the tune of an extra 10 % of the Ebid price.......even if you have one of the same item to list as long as you keep track of the activity on both sites then you won't come unstuck.
Consider this...............you list your item on Ebay, then you list it on Ebid, those who see this on Ebay may decide to carry out a Google search and then notice the Ebid listing, if the Ebay listing is an auction then the Ebid RUS listing will perhaps encourage a new user to sign up. If the Ebay listing is a BIN, then the Ebid listing is going to be priced at a somewhat lower all in price.

When I list over there (sorry ) I do so on free listing days only.

Any item I list I close the auction here,
If it sells over there I will delete it.

Having said that I continue to get sales here (4 good ones so far this month. )

If you want to sell on both sites then you need to be versatile and not list on both at the same time!

on a free listing i often list at 99p on ebay and usually make more than i was asking on ebid. I also charge20p more postage on ebay to offset the higher fvf fees. but most of my items are listed on here and never get put on ebay. i never list my handmade stuff there only my house clearance items

I have had an account on EBay for over 10 years but refuse to list anything there due to their fees. I sell on here and on three other sites. All are relatively low volume and at times they can sit for weeks unsold. So I do not consider it much of a risk to do cross postings. But if I did sell on EBay, with its much higher success rate I think it would be foolish to cross post there and anywhere else.
