How to cancel a sale by mutual consent

Morning everyone, I hope you all have fun in the sun today, but before you do, can anyone help with the following please.

I have a buyer who no longer wishes to buy an item, but have marked it as payment sent? Only two options I can see are to start a non paying bidder dispute or mark as a non payer. Anyone dealt with something like this?

well, depending on how much the item was, you could just ignore the sale and re-list the item and forget about the FVF.

I would unmar as payment received and do a NPB because if you do a cancellation you will not get your FVF back, but like somers says if you are not bothered about the FVF either leave it or unmark and just cancel.

If you want credit back for FVF - unmark "payment sent" and leave "NPB"; make sure to communicate with support.

If you do not want credit back for FVF - unmark "payment sent" and cancel transaction.
