True, and admin invite suggestions that could improve the site. If they agree, or they can be convinced, then the suggestions get implemented. They don't ask for business advice. If someone is going to publicly offer it they should state their credentials so that worth can be placed on it.

Many 'suggestions' read more like demands. A probable consequence of admin being so approachable.

One party on this thread even seems to think that eBid should open up its books to be examined by members so that we can decide what they can afford to spend and how they should spend it. !!!!!!

I made a monetary investment in eBid by taking out a Seller+ Lifetime subscription about 5 years ago. Clearly, at that time, I considered the site as it existed then was worth that investment. Has the site gone downhill over the years making that investment worth less? No. The site has continued to improve over the years. Which means that my investment has shown an improved return over what I thought was worthwhile 5 years ago.

I think you have put your finger on the thing that irritates me - the suggestion which reads like a demand - usually from someone who has been here 5 minutes and taken none of the advice about the best way to make sales here.

Anyone who gives such advice tends to be called a cheerleader but such people do tend to have feedback scores to give credibility to their opinions.

Maybe I am wrong but that’s my opinion….
As eBid is a registered limited company it's last years accounts can be bought for a small fee from Company House

So, do tell, do a lot of people see him wearing it then?

Otherwise it's not promoting ebid much.

Yes, I consider eBid responsive to suggestions. Have you noticed all the internal to external marketing going on over the last day or two by none other than Mark. I was absolutely flabbergasted!

I also made an investment in eBid as a Lifetime Member about 5 years ago; and consider it a worthwhile investment.

I used to direct a non-profit 501 C3 HIV/AIDS Organization, and our books were open to public scrutiny free of charge. Our public accounting audits always came up squeeky clean, so we never minded scrutiny.

Open books for 501c3 is the law in the U.S.

That law does not apply to privately held companies.

I think all you will find on the companies web site is ebid's balance sheet.

A balance sheet does not show a companies sales or expenses.
It mainly shows what it has in the bank and what it owes.

Perhaps we should do fake 999 calls so the firebrigade go and rouse him?

Well if eBid restructures into a 501 C3, or UK's equivalent of that, we can all have access to the imfo. I do not think I want access to that imfo unless they are willing to trade balance sheets.
