Default Problems at eBay - what a shame!

eBay have been having problems with some site maintenance, it has overrun with the home page having problems and users locked out of their account. Plenty of users venting their anger and frustration on twitter.

Reading through the comments there are a lot of unhappy people, with sellers missing out on auctions that ended while there were problems. One seller had an item with over 40 watching that was at £2.20 and did not get another bid, probably because nobody could log on. He contacted eBay who told him to contact the buyer to see if they would cancel, otherwise he had to complete the transaction or risk negative feedback and low DSR's.
