Default What have you found to sell well?

After reading a few threads that feature posters explaining how they've struggled to make a sale with Ebid, i thought that it wouldn't be a bad idea to put out what some sellers who have enjoyed a degree of success with. The hope is that this might offer a hint to what they should be looking to list over here.

I'll start off by letting you know where i have found a degree of success....i've sold, without having to wait too long for a sale, quite a few LP Records, musicassettes, blank media, Cassette decks, personal stereos an kitchen items (kenwood chef mixing bowl/Slow cooker) ... last year i had quite a few cat and dog dewormer products that proved very popular.... these items were invarably sold to very newly registered users who appear to found the site via Google, these were sold at a price that was found on another sites "completed listings" option, this gave me an accurate guide to the price that these items will realistically sell for in the real world rather than the unreliable and somewhat dreamlike prices that are often seen on the same sites "Buy it nows"

Of course i have a large number of items still listed, but since April/May 2012 i've been adding many new listings, i'm quite confident that i'll eventually sell much of what i have remaining plus there'll be a good number of new items added in the coming year.

I hope that this thread with the inclusion of other sellers can offer advice to those who are suffering no sales.

Good idea for a thread, wish I could be more help, but I'm not selling much these days. What did sell in months past was vintage jewelry. Books, too, have sold in the past, though mostly non-fiction titles, can't seem to budge the fiction stuff.

My YDC stuff usually does well.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Interesting about the Kenwood chef parts, I know someone that sells on TOS and gets good prices for ones that he has bought at boot sales for next to nothing.
If I did have something that sold well, sorry, I wouldn't tell anyone!!

Coins seem to sell best for me. Sales have been slow recently. Have wondered what factors could be contributing to slower sales.

Some sellers are selling well now. Some sellers were selling well before, but are not selling well now. That is why I believe there is more involved in selling well, than just what is being sold. There is also more involved in selling well, than the usual good advise to list more, use good key words in titles and descriptions, price competitively, charge fair s/h, offer good service, etc.

After viewing the "sold" items on the home page 3 to 4 times daily for the last 5 months I would say coins, stamps, postcards, dvds and Nicotine gum are always showing up as sold items.
