Promotion of items in General stores by eBid

I've mentioned this before, but I am becoming more and more convinced that eBid do not promote items held in a store under the General category.

Having re-listed my items this morning, after having took them down before Xmas, none are showing under New Listings (http://uk.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?mo=...ng&type=recent). Yet other items listed before and after mine do get promoted. I have never seen any of my items in the sidebars or promo areas of eBid for New, Popular, Closing, or Sold items.

I'm beginning to feel that as General is not one of the store categories on the Buy tab then eBid ignores them and everything in them.

Later today I am going to move items into a new category store that is on the Buy tab and see what happens.

Worth trying something different, but I have seen items of mine in my Bees Knees store (General) show up on the side bar very occasionally.

Haven't seen my general Whatnots store items on sidebar, but I did recently make a sale from said store, first in a while, to a new buyer, so they must have found me somewhere.

Hi astral.

I have just checked my Store in whatevers left - £1 bargain basement,and my items show in my store.
But, when I click on the '' Buy tab '' - whatevers left £1 bargain basement, None of my items show !
Is this why I don't sell anything from that store? or is it a glitch ?

All my other stores show in '' stores '' and when you click on the '' buy tag '' ...

No, while your store is under the category the items in it (as far as I have checked), apart from one item, or not listed under that category - so will not show under that category on the Buy tab. They will show under the category they are listed under.
