UPDATE - Links to eBay within descriptions will be automatically removed for future new listings and edits

This isn't working. Tried a test listing with various links back to eBay and they remain active.

I informed eBid of a seller who had multiple links to eBay in his listings. That was about THREE years ago; they are still there.

I created a normal sale page using a category and placed an Ebay link into the description. When I clicked on the Preview Listing Now, the Ebay link disappeared with all the link coding as well, so I am thinking that the test page section does not have the auto delete function.

Listing edited to move it out of the Test category. No difference.

Ahh I just had a thought - it was not a new listing but you just moved it - perhaps it doesn't delete links that way?

Try creating a bogus new listing in a proper category.

I edited it, which according to the update notification (#1 above) should invoke the breaking of eBay links.

Will try a new listing later.

It was originally created as a new listing in the Test Listing category based on a template from My Defaults. So all I had to do to complete the listing was to provide the description field including the links.

Following jeweleffects comment (#3 above) I edited the listing to move it out of the Test Listing category into a more mainstream category.

Both of these actions, according to the update notification, should have killed the links to eBay - but didn't.

Ta. Hopefully will cut down on such links - thereby saving both our and your time getting rid of them.
