Assist Please - Query International Postage On Listings

Hi, new member here and just made my first sale (Thanks Cornishmaid1961).

I have just reviewed the associated notification e.mail and am a bit alarmed. I have checked that I am happy to do international shipping and that preferred method is by RM Airsure. I have not however placed a value on that as I have not found the 'quote' from online RM to be always reliable.

I have instead elected to put a table of variable costs on my listings.

My issue is that the system has interpreted a dismiss of that field (not a zero) as FREE. I would not have been aware of that. I need to go in and either put something in or take international shipping off all my listings to date.

Could someone please advise if they have had this issue and how they overcame..........Thanks in advance. P

That is a good question, I've read where other members had similar issues re: the shipping field not calculating postage but rather serving up free when a value isn't entered. I don't know if this is a glitch or just an oversight on eBid's part, though it seems to me this should be corrected; you may want to contact eBid support: support@ebid.net and let them know, so they can tweak the shipping field.

I always fill in my international shipping with flat rates (easy to do as I use USPS Priority Mail). Is there a flat rate service offered by RM that would suit your shipping needs?
