I've never seen a scarf clip like that Annie, I think it's a buckle.
A scarf clip wouldn't have those prongs (I think) so I go for buckle
Have you got a matching pair? Clearly that would be worth more than one, or even two mismatched ones. Unless you can find a one-legged man who needs to keep his shoe on in an a?se-kicking contest that is.
Only the one that I can find so far. Seems a lot are re-purposed these days as pendants/scarf clips, etc.
But who's shoe buckle it was, I've no idea. Just checked my grandparents wedding photo from 1912, and Flo was wearing lace-up boots.
