As I don't have any David Bowie stories, you can have my Alan Rickman story...

At the Edinburgh Fringe one year, I saw Alan Rickman sitting in the Pleasance Courtyard with a pint. He was directing a student play (he started his career with an Edinburgh Student play, I understand). I decided that the right thing to do, as he was being totally unstarry, was to leave the man in peace. Now I will never be able to make the fan decision and hear his glorious voice directed at me, even if he would have told me to get lost.
