They came with plans, and are moving the sink and a radiator, making a cupboard for the tank and doing a wet room, are we going to take bets now that it will leak. They said they can't put the shower where i wanted it as the joists are going the wrong way. I told them I want my own glass fitters to change to frosted glass ans the windows have a 10 or 15 year guarantee and it will be void if they alter them, they said they would put in the report That i would like Clifton glass to do it or pay for it myself. So all looks good apart from one thing the shower is being placed near the door, how do you stop the water from seeping under a wet room door, anyone know ?

They are supposed to be built with a sllght slope away from the door and towards the drain.

Buttons we have had wet rooms in both our houses and they have never leaked. As Sherlock said the floor has a slight slope towards the drain.

We had a wet room a couple years ago when the roof over the dining room let a flood down the wall due to squirrels getting under the tiles........lol

But the bathroom kind sound really practical.

I bought a small "brush type" draught excluder and had it fitted onto bottom of bathroom door as my shower was near door but never really had any problems also would invest in "squeegee type" mop like a window cleaner uses for mopping down floor after shower

Overall great idea was also supplied with a bath chair by nhs as I can stand for too long all I needed was a waterproof newspaper and I'd be there all day lol

Morning all, glad Buttons they are going to sort your shower, as long as leasn slightly to the drain should be fine,

Have spent ages trying to find some ephemera, think am going to grovel can find the numbers before it, so there must be some somewhere hiding mind you at least have sort a load of bits for Charity shop & have space on the shelf at the moment. Well must go & plod on again, though had hoped to list again its Barbers for me this afternoon. luckly its at the bottom of the Road.

If they put a chair there for him he will be asleep. We have a rubber brush somewhere with a flat thing on one side for shoving water along all I need to do is find it.

We have a wet room and I agree with both posters who say they are built so water drains away down a sloped surface

Despite my best efforts my bomb in disguise exploded and has been paid for. I guess that means more photo taking today.

Excelled myself yesterday. Did a big tub of weeding and two large sacks of hedge cutting and now ache all over !
