.
I have been looking for some easy piano sheet music - not a lot of choice here and most a tad over priced (IMO).
An opening for those who have some to list! list it! list it! (and tell me if you do! lol!)
pretty please!
.
.
Wouldn't it be nice if all sheet music sellers could be bothered to upload a picture of at least one part page of their sheet music they have for sale?
That way, prospective buyers would be able to see the level of skill required to play it !!!
I know that it must be tiring having written its title in a minimal description which says what you can see in the single picture of your item's front cover..... but really and truly that is not enough!
ps vintage sheet music likely is foxed/faded/ a bit tatty round the edges/some finger marks.... etc etc etc
who cares? I am exactly in the same shape! Just let me see some of the notes!
rant over for today
Have a nice day!
.
Any particular songs or genres that you are looking for?

Note to Sellers:
If showing some notes (yes please!) try to choose those at the very beginning of one of your pieces - so that the prospective Buyer can see what key it is played in.
For those of us who will never make concert pianists this is much needed information!
.
.
For those who have sheet music to sell but who are not players themselves:
to appeal to a wider range of prospective buyers - maximum information is needed but this can all be provided in one simple picture as seen in the 4 music examples at the bottom of this post. (well, it can for me!)
Key? = a clue to ability/sound
Time signature? = gives a clue to the style if the piece of music is unknown
Tempo?
Notes = a clue to level of expertise: Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced
so pictures below give me all these clues -
Advanced - way beyond me.... and my small hands cannot span octaves, and I have no idea what the time of 6/4 sounds like..... and all those flats! lol! ( Key of D flat Major?) - not yet for me, my friend! Probably never!
Intermediate -
Easier
Easy/Beginner - and it even has fingering as well as accidentals before the notes!
Hope this helps sellers to understand that listing a front cover of an unknown piece of music, describing it as a bit worn/aged/vintage/whatever plus postage details/returns information is like listing an item of clothing with a picture of the designer, but not stating what the item is (dress, trousers, joggers), who it is for (female, male, child, infant), size, colour, shape, length or material details. How useful is that! ? ! ? ! How likely will a sale happen?
