love the cactus,

i dont like real cactus/cacti(sp?) plants very much, but own two wooden and two ceramic ones

It was a strange choice for me to do as I can't stand cacti! When I was a kid my mum had loads of em along the windowsill, and I always managed to get spiked by one of them! Making this one was fun, but those fake spines are sharp believe it or not, I got plenty of nasty jabs from them as well! Lethal things, cactus! My fave house plant has to be my mother-in-laws tongue, followed closely by spider plants. Anyone else got a fave house plant??

i dont know why, but the fact you did a cactus really tickles me, what an odd thing to choose.

my parents had an indoor tree does that count?

i think it was a weeping fig, it was absolutely beautiful, it was quite tall and made me think of cascading water, the way the light used to come through the leaves. also in the pot with it was something i want to call angelhair fern but have no idea if that is right.

they gave the plant to me when they moved abroad, but it died

i didnt have the heart to throw it away for quite a time after, so had a stick with bare branches in a pot in my living room for months
