Would it be possible to have a subcategory for Art/creative (or however it needs wording) under toys and hobbies please?

    Hurrumph ......

"minority categories like this get almost immediate action, whereas major categories like Spirituality and metaphysical are ignored for two years of requests to bump to top level despite umpteen threads requesting it

    .... I thought double-standards was a particularly Thai trait - maybe I'm wrong and it's a global one?

Gaz, darling, Gazza has just said that creating new subs is way easier than moving a whole parent full of listings....

It all depends on your database structure - both can be equally easy or difficult, although admitted, adding is USUALLY easier than relocating.

An interim measure is to create a new top level category and echo the existing categories into it - as the old listings expire, the new listings fill the new category with no reference to the old one - would be a nightmare on sites like eBay or Amazon, but here we're only talking a few thousand records, not hundreds of thousands across a few hundred servers.

Still, they designed the database, I'll step down and shut up ..... unless it takes too long.
