Maybe they won't like it, but that's too bad.... lol. That's how I first came across Ebid. If no-one takes any notice of my posts and they start slipping down the pages, then I'll bump them up to the top again...

The painless, slap-free, way to publicise ebid using ebay's servers is to put a mention of ebid into your ebay invoices. Every single one I send has it.

I have two ebid stores. This is for Cats Protection;Lots of beanies, fast food toys, random collectables, some new children's clothes - almost anything really.
this is business and sells skeleton leaves, Thai silk, various vintage postcards, more random collectables
    Both sell discontinued china tableware.

I think you expencted to arrive with zero feedback, have everyone trust you and buy exclusively from you and no-one else, making a fortune in the process.
As with any other aspect of business, it takes a while to build a reputation and the trust and respect of the members - change your subscription to six months for example, join in with the forums, add Buy Now prices to your listings (the most popular form of bid on eBid) and try listing a wide variety of items - it's free to list here, and you only pay a listing fee if an item sells and you chose a listing enhancement.
Also open an eBid shop - it's also free and doesn't cost 6 quid plus per month like it does on another site. eBid shops do work.

eBid is almost as old as eBay, but has never had the marketing funds that eBay has had - consider it as the online auction world's Apple compared to eBay's Microsoft + PC style - better product but underfunded.
