Default Definition of a barbecue - LOL

    Definition of a BBQ:

It's the only type of cooking a real man will do. When a man volunteers to do the BBQ the following chain of events are put into motion:

1.. The woman buys the food.
2.. The woman makes the salad, vegetables, and dessert.
3.. The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill -- beer in hand.
4.. The man places the meat on the grill.
5.. The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery.
6.. The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is burning. He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer while he deals with the situation.
7.. The man takes the meat off the grill and hands it to thewoman.
8.. The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, sauces, and brings them to the table.
9.. After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.
10.. Everyone praises the man and thanks him for his cooking efforts.
11.. The man asks the woman how she enjoyed "her night off." And, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there's just no pleasing some women!!!!!

That is SOOO true! I never realised it before - when we have BBQ, hubby always does the cooking and I have always considered it my night off, but reading that, I do more than he!

Raz - next time - your turn to burn the meat. End up with just meat and beer on the table.

Cybertrax - and what's wrong with that!

yes - sticking the gas on flopping the meat on and turning it a few times is really hard work

The only bit of a barbeque that my ex enjoyed was the "bar" bit!

A BBQ isn't complete until you've taken delivery of the GazLanNaThai chillies, spices and condiments kit

Oh yeah ...... and that most essential ingredient for a successful BBQ is a big bag of bug-repelling citronella incense ..... from guess who?

My wifes carp at cooking so I make all the meals. So when it comes to doing the bbq I have to make the salad get the meat ready set the coals on fire, burn the food to a crisp just to make sure its cooked AND I even have to make sure the beer is ice cold hours before hand.

A blokes work is never done

I'm just glad we have a dishwasher
I can only make one person happy per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow isn't looking good either.
