Although you/Ebid cant express strong enough not to sell to people from areas such as africa. I'm not sure if its by mistake or not but....

Hi Tara. the link you've posted has no connection to EBID.

However I would happily sell to people in South Africa and to genuine buyers in other parts of that continent. All the scams I have seen or am aware of relate to Nigeria (which incidently is a few thousand miles away from South Africa) so special care is needed when dealing with Nigerian cases! But for everyone else- i'd judge each buyer on merit (or their feedback ;-) )

I've come across them from more than just Nigeria.. most of the west african countries seem to have a cliche` scam attached...

That SA site is owned by an american media co., because a lot of us in Europe/USA are reluctant to sell to africa, it's like their own (limited) version of feepay/ebid, mostly just south african trading. They shouldn't mention ebay in their advertising though, but that's something for them to deal with..

Val, no connection to ebid but ebid are promoting them.... (y'know the little links up the top when you search through the auction pages??)
Ok, so say South Africa isn't that bad, Ebid are still promoting other AUCTION sites.... they should be consentrating on their own

I think the google advertising thingy they use has a limited ammount of filtering.. So it's hard to get every single one when there are so many starting up every day...
