    Unhappy How can eBid compete?

I've only just come across eBid. At first glance it looks great - our very own UK auction site. Problem is .. how can eBid hope to compete with similar ventures when sellers are pitching their starting bids at or above the price I could buy from a reputable dealer. In particular I was looking at the UK Stamps and noticed the starting bid prices on the majority of them were a tad overpriced - no wonder the number of bidders was zero!

pity really...it destroys the spirit of the whole auction thing...but if they're happy getting no bidders good luck to them!

Prices are indeed to high to start, but finding the items you looking for takes so long that you already be off to another site were it is easier to find, for a newcomer try to find without the Ebid knowledge, postcards for example, confusions, confisions, confusions.
