I don't know if i am being incredibly stupid here, but is it possible to send messages to other users who you're not in a deal with and who isn't selling anything. It's just i know you can on E**y so i just wondered.

As far as I'm aware the only method (at the moment) of contacting another ebidder outside of an auction is for them to be a regular visitor to the Forums . There is a facility on here for sending 'private messages' :wink:

Look below any post on any thread and you will see a row of "buttons" .... one marked 'pm'. If you click on this you can then type a message to that person (but you have to log in first to do this, not just visit as a Guest, I believe).

You could try a member search - just under the ebid.co.uk Community Forum orange banner at the top of this page.... and pm from the resulting page, but unless the person you are messaging logs in to the Community Forum at some stage they won't know they have a private message.

If you send someone a pm, I think they get an email telling them about it, I know I've had an email in the past stating I have a private message with a link to pick it up.

I have just sent a private message to a user. I do hope they pick it up.
Otherwise I dont think there is any other way of getting in contact.

If important ie losing a sale or sending pic try breaking up your email ie, d-e-1 you will find they receive and when they delete - contact will be made
